My mom enrolled me in a private Christian school starting next year and they have a really strict dress code. Girls must wear skirts and dresses everyday and they even demand that all students follow all their guidelines even off campus and during non-school hours. This contains the dress code. I do not mind having to wear dresses to school, but all the time? My mom just says that I have no choice but to follow school guidelines. Can a school legally do this?

they can basically do pretty much whatever they want, theyre a private school

Because you left the only answer, I guess it is the top one. I type of knew it was most likely the correct answer too. I guess I’m just going to need to get utilized to giving up all my pants and jeans and being a actual girlie-girl for the next few years. At least I get a whole new wardrobe.

I guess i didn’t even know they produced them all black! I’ve to agree that I am still al little old fashion and believe a dress need to be white (ivory or light pink) having a touch of colour is fine as well.

All white with black sash is fine!

I agree, I think all black is usually a bit depressing. One doesn’t believe of a joyful bride once they appear all black, not to mention she’ll get lost inside the sea of little black dresses most girls wear to weddings!

I consider whatever the bride chooses to wear is none of anyones concern. So long as the bride and groom are happy on their day that is certainly all that matters. What if they wanted to wear jogging outfits??or swimsuits??Who cares??

I am not a fan of all black dresses for a wedding, but to each and every bride their very own. I, like you, really feel they are somewhat too “funeral” like.
