I had a park wedding, and my dress was floor length satin. It did not get dirty or ruined, but I did spend most of the day having to hitch it up so it didn’t drag about on the ground. Wear whichever style suits you best and what you’d be most comfy in. It’s your wedding!

I cannot follow the hyperlinks but I’d say knee length – satin are going to be ruined when drug within the grass/dirt. Besides a formal gown indicates a formal ceremony – I assume a knee lenght dress could be more suitable for a park ceremony.
